HO 1996 FORD TAURUS MIDNIGHT RED METALLIC
In 1990, the Santa Fe approached EMD for a modified version of the successful GP60 locomotive. The Santa Fe version would feature the widebody North American cab design married to the long hood used on the standard cab 60's. These GP60M's were the first new locomotives delivered in the "Super Fleet" paint scheme of passenger red and silver. The Santa Fe acquired 63 of the locos in May and June 1990. A year later, the Santa Fe went back to EMD and purchased 23 GP60B booster units, without cabs, to be used in conjunction with the existing M's. Once again, matching A-B-B-A sets of high speed red and silver locomotives could be seen traveling between Chicago and Los Angeles. The GP60M's and B's were truly a modern version of the classic F units. 3-RAIL & 2-RAIL TMCC FEATURES INCLUDE:
