HO MASTER GOLD ALP-45A NJ TRAN
Product code: 10004439Description
HO Master Gold ALP-45DP NJ TRANSIT – 40th Anniversary of Rail Operations #4540 Limited Edition Collectible – Celebrating Four Decades of Service
The ALP-45DP is a sophisticated “dual-mode” locomotive, engineered to run on both overhead catenary power and its own pair of 12-cylinder Caterpillar diesel engines. This hybrid design enables seamless service across both electrified and non-electrified lines—crucial for uninterrupted, one-seat rides into New York City’s Penn Station, where diesel use is restricted within the North River Tunnels and station infrastructure.
Built by Bombardier Transportation in Kassel, Germany, the first ALP-45DP entered NJ TRANSIT service on May 30, 2012.
To honor Atlas’ 100th anniversary and NJ TRANSIT’s 40th year of rail operations, this special release features exclusive artwork and road number #4540, making it a must-have for collectors and modelers alike.
