Product code: 10004435Description
HO Master Gold ALP-45DP EXO [PATCH] #1360 Limited Edition – Commemorating Atlas' 100th Anniversary
The ALP-45DP is a dual-mode locomotive, capable of running on both overhead electric wires and its own pair of 12-cylinder Caterpillar diesel engines. These hybrid machines were specifically engineered to provide uninterrupted service from NJ TRANSIT's diesel-only lines into the electrified network serving New York Penn Station—complying with restrictions on diesel operation within the North River Tunnels and the underground station.
Built by Bombardier Transportation in Kassel, Germany, the ALP-45DP debuted in NJ TRANSIT service on May 30, 2012.
This special edition model honors Atlas’ 100th anniversary and features exclusive artwork and detailing. The [PATCH] #1360 scheme represents EXO (Réseau de transport métropolitain) ownership, showcasing the broad reach and versatility of the ALP-45DP fleet.
