Product code: 10004433Description
HO Master Silver ALP-45DP NJ TRANSIT – 40th Anniversary of Rail Operations #4540
Celebrate 40 years of NJ TRANSIT rail operations with this limited-edition ALP-45DP #4540 model, designed to replicate the sleek dual-mode locomotive in special anniversary trim.
The ALP-45DP is a versatile “dual-mode” locomotive that operates using either overhead electric power or twin 12-cylinder Caterpillar diesel engines. This unique capability allows for seamless, one-seat rides from diesel-only lines to New York City’s Penn Station—an electrified zone where diesel operation is prohibited. Built by Bombardier Transportation in Kassel, Germany, the ALP-45DP first entered NJ TRANSIT service on May 30, 2012.
To mark Atlas’ 100th anniversary, this commemorative model features exclusive artwork and authentic detailing.
