HO Scale Dual-Mode Commemorative Locomotive – Silver Series – First Responders Design Number 4533
This highly detailed HO scale dual-mode locomotive replicates the functionality and appearance of a real-world engine capable of operating on both electric and diesel power. The model is inspired by a modern commuter locomotive designed to provide seamless travel between areas with overhead electrical power and those that require internal combustion.
Released in honor of a special centennial milestone, this commemorative version features unique artwork celebrating first responders and showcases advanced detailing and craftsmanship.

Directional light-emitting diode illumination including headlight, ditch lights, and red marker lights
Adjustable pantograph (not motorized)
Powerful five-pole skewed armature motor with dual flywheels for reliable performance across all speeds
Factory-installed railings, air horn, and rooftop antenna
Separately packaged grab irons for customer installation (includes drilling template)
Equipped with metal magnetic knuckle-style couplers
Silver Series Details:
HO scale model includes a twenty-one-pin socket for digital command control installation (decoder not included)
Includes internal speaker, ready for optional sound decoder installation
Gold Series Features (Factory Equipped with Digital Control and Sound):
Pre-installed digital sound system featuring over twenty realistic locomotive effects including engine start-up, throttle notching, bell, horn, brake squeal, and more
Supports all digital command control programming modes and is compliant with National Model Railroad Association standards
Includes sixteen user-selectable horns, two bell sounds, and two synchronized brake effects
Operates on both direct current and digital command control track systems, though full feature access requires a digital controller
Note for Direct Current Layouts: This version includes a dual-mode digital sound decoder that provides basic sound and lighting functions on direct current track systems. For full functionality, a basic digital control unit is required. Please note that this model cannot be used in a multiple unit lash-up with non-sound or non-digital locomotives on a direct current system.
