Description
Norfolk Southern VISION Breakdown GP40-2 #3039
BTO
On the real railroad, a good day is when nothing goes wrong. But life's headaches can make for some interesting operations on our model railroads! These new breakdown units are sure to give your little crews fits as they find multiple ways to stretch out the day's work. In addition to all the great details, lighting and sound features of our VISION GP40-2's, we've replaced the motors in these models with an extra pair of smoke units and even more lighting effects. That's right, these diesels have four smoke units! This allows us to simulate a variety of issues. A blown turbocharger will send a double-dose of smoke up the stack. Overheated brakes or a bad traction motor? Watch for extra lights and smoke coming from around the rear truck. Something gone array in the engine room? You'll see smoke billowing from the radiator screens at the back of the locomotive Of course there will be plenty of crew talk and radio chatter to go along with this. Once you've brought the train to a safe stop, addressed the issue and cleared it with the tower, you'll be back up and running again for now!
Features:
Breakdown units feature road number-specific body and lighting details like powered VISION GP40-2s
Non-powered
Two dual-smoke units for standard, notching and breakdown effects
Multiple breakdown scenarios play at random when the Emergency Stop button is pressed on your LEGACY controller
