No one wants to get wet waiting for trains! For decades, passengers have been protected from the elements by "umbrella" style sheds, so named as the triangular-shaped roof slopes downward and resembles an open umbrella. Used at stations large and small, they were constructed of wood and painted to match nearby railroad buildings.
A great addition to any station scene, platforms of this type are right at home in suburban commuter operations, small towns or big cities and will look great with the new City Station (#933-2904, sold separately). The timeless styling fits any era and the modular design allows easy expansion. The kit can be built as a freestanding structure or use the special roof section that's included to attach the platform to your station building.
