ATCHISON TOPEKA & SANTA FE PULLMAN STANDARD PLEASURE DOME BAR LOUNGE
Product Information
HO Passengers will enjoy all the amenities and a fabulous view from the WalthersProto 85' Pullman-Standard Pleasure Dome Bar-Lounge! Santa Fe's only conventional domes arrived in late 1950 exclusively for the Super Chief, and the combined Super Chief / El Capitan, where they were paired with the 36-seat diner. The dome was fitted with a mix of parlor and paired seats while the lower level had a comfortable bar and lounge area, along with the fabulous Turquoise Room, with its private dining area. Ready for operation or display, features of this WalthersProto replica include:
Real metal finish simulates stainless steel
Correct GSC 41-NDO Outside Swing Hanger trucks as used in the 1960s
Factory-installed grab irons
Prototypically accurate window tinting
Window gasket details as appropriate
Sprung operating diaphragms
Modeler-installed extended drawbars for 22" radius curves included
Turned metal RP-25 wheelsets and correct trucks with built-in electrical contacts
Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers
PLEASE NOTE: As these cars are the correct prototype length and feature full underbody detail to match the prototypes, a minimum 24" radius is recommended for operation.

A signature car for the Super Chief, Pullman-Standard had suggested Plaza series names, but Santa Fe simply refered to them as Pleasure Domes (from a line in the poem "Kubla Kahn") and numbered them from 500 to 505. Decals for the entire fleet are included in this WalthersProto replica.
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD - SMALL PARTS! NOT INTENDED FOR CHILDREN UNDER 3.
